C.A. Varian is an award-winning, multi-genre author whose books blend atmosphere, emotion, and unforgettable characters. Born and raised in the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun Country, she grew up surrounded by folklore, family, and the kind of stories that linger long after they’re told. She now lives on the Gulf Coast with her husband, Trevor, her youngest daughter Arianna, and a small menagerie of beloved pets. Her oldest daughter, Brianna, is married and lives just over an hour away with her growing family—making Varian a proud grandmother.

Varian writes widely across genres—including fantasy, paranormal, dark romance, cozy and supernatural mystery, alien romance, monster romance, and later-in-life love stories—but her books all share the same heartbeat: rich emotion and love at their core. Her signature blend of Gothic atmosphere, romantic tension, and deeply human characters has earned her a loyal and ever-growing readership.

Her novel Saving Scarlett is a triple award–winner, earning First Place in the Fiction category of the 2024 Writer’s Digest Awards, First Place for Thriller Domestic in the 2024 BookFest Awards, and Third Place for Romance Suspense in the 2024 BookFest Awards. The first three books of her Hazel Watson Mystery series were Finalists in the 2023 Next Generation Indie Book Awards in the Series category.

Since launching her author business, Varian has sold over 25,000 special-edition books directly through her shop and more than 200,000 copies across all formats and platforms. She has cultivated a vibrant online community with more than 32,000 TikTok followers and thousands more across additional platforms, where readers connect with her immersive worlds, swoon-worthy characters, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into her creative process.

Varian is known among her readers for her down-to-earth charm—often filming TikToks in pajamas, no makeup, and with the kind of candid Cajun attitude that has become part of her brand. She also makes room for the rest and recovery she needs while navigating neurological Lyme disease and tick-borne Bartonella, approaching each day with resilience and creativity.
